Held last May 9th, was the 49th
Baeksang Awards, an awards ceremony held annually by IS PLUS Corp, that aims
to honor outstanding achievements in the South Korean entertainment
industry and to garner public attention upon the best in Korean films,
television, and theater.
Girls' Generation's Yuri and YoonA were both nominated for the Popularity
Award in the Drama category, and last night it was revealed that it's Yuri
who won for her Drama 'Fashion King'.
Yuri wasn't there to receive the award though, while other
actors who also won the popularity award were JYJ's Yoochun for his drama
'Missing You' ,Park Shin-hye for her movie 'Gift of Room No. 7' and Kim
Dong-wan for his movie titled 'Deranged'.
